Our Mission
The Siddiqi Charitable Foundation exists to improve the health and wellness of residents across East Tennessee and the Appalachian region, with a focused commitment to addressing chronic and life-altering health conditions that disproportionately impact our communities.
Our mission is to promote the treatment, prevention, education, and awareness of:
- End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- Related chronic health conditions
We support initiatives that strengthen community health through research, education, screening, population management, and public awareness, helping individuals and families live healthier, more informed lives.

Who We Support
The Foundation provides funding exclusively to qualifying nonprofit organizations whose missions and activities align with our charitable purpose. We do not provide funding to:
- Individuals
- Sports teams
- Political candidates or political organizations
Our goal is to invest in organizations and programs that create measurable, sustainable impact and improve long-term health outcomes in the communities we serve.

Our Founder, Dr. Siddiqi
From 1977 to 2022, Dr. Siddiqi’s primary objective was to deliver exceptional nephrology care, with a steadfast commitment to placing each patient’s well-being at the forefront.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Siddiqi served as a nephrologist with Dialysis Clinic, Inc. and held a leadership role as Co-Medical Director at Fort Sanders Kidney Center. His extensive experience also includes serving as Medical Director of Extracorporeal Technologies and Director of Nephrology at Blount Memorial Hospital.

Sabrina Siddiqi
Board Chair
Sabrina Sadaf Siddiqi is a Knoxville native, real estate professional, philanthropist, and passionate community servant leader. Since 2023, she has served as Chairman of the Board of The Siddiqi Foundation, carrying forward the vision established by its founder, her father, Dr. Naseemul Haq Siddiqi.
A graduate of The Webb School of Knoxville and the University of Tennessee, and Tayseer Seminary, reflecting her lifelong commitment to both education and service. Over the years, she has dedicated her life to community outreach through organizations including Annoor Academy, the Weekend Islamic School, the Volunteer Ministry Center, and the Muslim Community of Knoxville, where she serves as Dawah and Outreach Coordinator. She has also spent many years serving as a Muslim jail chaplain, providing support and guidance to female inmates.
Since launching her real estate career in 2005, Sabrina has consistently been a Multi-Million Dollar Producer and has earned a Top Producer Award at Realty Executives Associates. In 2023 Sabrina divested her interests in Siddiqi Investments, Siddiqi Holdings, Renal Management Company, Trigem Construction and other businesses to focus on her service efforts. Whether through philanthropy, community outreach, or serving as a trusted Realtor, she is deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys fitness, travel and spending time with her friends and family.

Martin Vickers
Vice Chair
I was born in Lebanon,Tennessee in 1943 and raised on a farm near Lebanon. My father was a farmer and mother a schoolteacher. I attended Major School,a three room school for elementary school and Phillips High School in Birmingham,Alabama. I received a BA and MD degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville in 1964 and 1968. From 1968 to 1975 I trained in general and vascular surgery at Parkland Hospital in Dallas,Texas with a two year stint in the US Air Force from 1970-1972. In 1975 we relocated to Knoxville,Tennessee where I practiced surgery with Drs. Charles Smeltzer and John Whittington and later with Premier Surgical Associates. In 1975 I started doing dialysis vascular access procedures for patients at the Fort Sanders Kidney Center then operated by Dr. Joe Leonard. Dr. Naseem Siddiqi joined the nephrology group about four years later. I continued doing general and vascular surgery until my retirement in 2011. I have continued to serve on the board of the Siddiqi Charitable Foundation until the present time. My wife,Darlene, and I have been married 56 years and have two children and two grandchildren. We now reside in Nashville,Tennessee.

Carlee Alm-Labar

Carlee Alm-LaBar is the Chief of Staff for Strong Towns.
Carlee has become a champion for strong communities and civic engagement through her work in Lafayette, Louisiana. She has held senior leadership roles in local government and nonprofit organizations. When she’s not with her husband Will or dog Luca, she spends her spare time volunteering with a variety of local organizations that build connections between people and empower local residents. Carlee graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University and holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Louisiana State University.

Brandi Kuch
Program Director
As Program Director at the Siddiqi Foundation, Brandi brings over 13 years of experience leading programs that support children and families across East Tennessee. Alongside her nonprofit work, she contributes to the hospitality industry by coordinating financial operations and serving as a trusted liaison for hotel ownership.
Deeply involved in volunteer ministry and a proud mom of three, Brandi is passionate about strengthening her community and creating opportunities for others to thrive.
